Senior Audit Leaders (SAL) lead execution of the audit process primarily as Auditor in-Charge, sometimes as an engagement supervisor and sometimes may participate in testing or consulting on audits to provide subject matter knowledge or skills in accordance with Audit Services policy. The Senior Audit Leader : - Identifies and assesses key risks and controls and develops effective test plans for engagements with limited guidance; - Exhibits appropriate judgment regarding issue notification; - Issues draft findings to internal client (business partner) management and Drafts final audit reports for review by the engagement supervisor or Senior Audit Manager. - Coaches junior staff regarding required knowledge and skills. - SALs demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge that includes technology, operational, financial, and regulatory understanding across multiple businesses and may develop knowledge in a critical subject matter area. - SALs lead projects that are generally moderate to large in size and moderate to high in complexity. They may work on additional projects concurrently with their lead assignments either in a monitoring, consulting, or testing capacity. SALs are able to : - Evaluate and provide appropriate solutions for complex problems - Demonstrate professional skepticism - Present audit results in an objective and unbiased manner - Write opinions reflecting relevant facts that lead to logical conclusions and Escalate significant risks and loss exposures to appropriate levels of management - Effectively coach and guide other team members through the audit process Market Skills and Certifications : - BS or BA degree or higher in accounting, finance or business administration - Audit experience at a large financial institution or public accounting firm Certification in one or more of the following - CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CISA, Commissioned Bank Examiner designation, or Chartered Accountant - Risk or Compliance Experience - Solid Knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes. - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important - Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities. - Solid problem solving skills - Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. - Experience leading and providing feedback to staff on audit projects or engagements. - Broad exposure to audit disciplines in the financial services or banking industries - Knowledge of model risk management concepts
