Responsibilities :

- To handle routine compliances and advisory work under GST which includes:

a) Computation of tax liability, supervise and track timely deposit of taxes and filing of statutory returns to avoid penal consequences

b) Applying for registrations, amendments, etc

c) Preparing registers for all tax liabilities and input tax credit (ensuring availment of input tax credits where ever available to optimize transaction costs.)

d) Support in Monthly Book closing for GST services

e) Active participation in monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables related to GST (e.g. GL reconciliation)

- Regular updating technical knowledge, updated on GST rules, GST Act,

- Evaluation of existing procedures and process related to Indirect Taxes and suggest suitable improvements, if relevant & necessary

- Advisory on procurement and contracting for correct application of tax rates to ensure cost effectiveness and find innovative ways of structuring contracts to enable optimization of profits.

- Evaluating different tax options to assist the commercial and procurement teams

Assisting SAP team from an Indirect Tax perspective. The existing SAP Module and the available tax codes need to be customized keeping in mind our tax laws. Review of ERP/SAP systems relevant for indirect tax application and compliance.
