About employer - An MNC in the renewable energy sector
Expectations from the role : The Industrial Relations Manager would ensure and implement employment-related compliances across multiple Renewable Energy sites in India.
Job responsibility :
- Partner with all the internal and external stakeholders/vendors and ensure that the labour compliance requirements are implemented in accordance with the applicable laws
- Liaise with relevant authorities or as required to ensure timely and accurate compliance requirement adherence
- Respond and attend to various notices from authorities ensuring closure of the gaps or any complaints
- Analyse trends in compliance and devise a corresponding labour management plan
- Ensure quarterly audit of various statutory and social security laws for all the sites
- Ensure appropriate and relevant documentation of all cases and compliance register documents
- Ensure all labour compliance and paper works are completed before the commencement of works and deployment of workers on sites
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or inspections to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
- Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation; conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues
- Serve as a confidential point of contact to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities
- Consult and coordinate with internal/external parties as necessary to address complex labour compliance issues and address issues with appropriate resolutions
- Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards
- Responsible for all labour law compliances applicable to the company and its contractors including applying for registrations, preparing, filing periodic returns, computing, and depositing payments/ contributions, preparing and maintaining various registers
- Responsible for updating and keeping track of amendments in labour laws acts, rules, and procedures across India and analysing applicability/impact on the company
- Efficiently manage and execute assignments across India.
Qualifications :
- Should have a minimum 10-year extensive experience in legal, labour laws, and statutory legislation compliances in India
- Masters in Labour Studies or HRM or Labour relations. LLB is desirable
- Excellent Communication Skills. Language proficiency: apart from English and Hindi. Knowledge of Kannada or Gujarati is preferred - verbal and written.
- Strong team player, good in decision-making and interpersonal skills
- Excellent practical understanding of Employment Laws
