Manager/Senior Manager - Controllership - CA

We are looking for a Steller requirement with one of our clients from insurance domain.

Looking for a qualified CA with minimum of 12 years of experience post qualification.

Have experience in Team Handling.

Experience in US GAAP / IFRS / UK GAAP

Roles and Responsibilities

The team under the manager will be primarily undertaking the following tasks. The manager is also required to perform hands on when required.

- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made

- Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents throughout the month for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with general accounting principles and established internal control policies and procedures.

- Ensure financial integrity and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.

- Partner with stakeholders across Divisional Financial Operations to improve financial and accounting accuracy

- Record and review journal entries related to Divisional branch results

- Review and investigate reconciliation variances, assisting management to develop appropriate action plans addressing issues identified

Desired Candidate Profile

- Chartered Accountant with 12 plus years of relevant experience in industry.

- Good working knowledge of accounting standards (US/UK GAAP/IFRS), account reconciliations, and month end close experience

- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products Excel & PowerPoint

- Exposure to both the Close (Financial Accounting) and Planning (Management Accounting) side of Finance is preferred.

- Domain strength & capabilities on Accounting, Reporting and/or FP&A is required.

- Candidate should clearly be able to articulate ideas on Finance Process Transformation, Automations and Analytics. Candidate should have demonstrated this in his current/previous roles.

- Good working knowledge of the insurance brokerage business will be an added advantage
