Manager/Senior Manager - Contract Abstraction - LLB

Performs quality checks and audits on abstracted work reviewed by associates and sr. associates

- Strong subject matter expertise; Review, analyse and abstract a wide range of contracts including Patent License Agreements, IT Procurement Agreements, Web Hosting Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Software and Data License Agreements, Vendor Services Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Purchase and License Agreements, Sponsor Research Agreements, Inter Institutional Agreements, Supply and Distribution Agreements, Staffing, Consulting and Teaming Agreements, Lease Agreements, Estoppels and SNDAA and other commercial contracts

- Creates reference documents with minimal senior personnel review

- Point person for the project team to spot/address/escalate all issues

- Expected to innovate and improve upon current processes and techniques

- Leads one large complex or two small-to-medium complexity projects effectively, without intensive oversight; Displays ability to lead projects in absence of seniors

- Responsible to track team's performance and be involved in appraisal discussions

- Substantial knowledge of contract management platforms, including managing assignments, system workflows (including the ability to suggest changes to workflow)

- General knowledge of contract management platforms, including managing assignments, workflow (including the ability to suggest changes to workflow). Individuals who are equally proficient in a greater number of platforms should be rated more highly than those whose knowledge is limited to particular platforms.

- Strong subject matter expertise

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Strong client- and external party-facing skills: main point of contact with external representatives in connection with particular projects. Able to effectively gauge client needs even if not expressly stated

- Highly responsive to the needs of both internal (including reporting managers, other project managers and team members) as well as external clients

- Strong presentation and training skills; project-specific training is a core responsibility

- Strong project management skills,

- General knowledge of processes and platforms that the clients use

QUALIFICATION:

- Must have: Law degree

- Desirable: LL.M.
