Job Title:

Manager, Content Strategy

Job Summary:

As Manager of Content Strategy, you provide leadership to the content team by understanding, applying and disseminating evolving content best practices as part of a larger, cross-functional team. You collaborate with creative and technology teams as well as subject matter experts across product lines to understand and help support strategic business objectives and customer requirements, and their breakdown into specific content deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Understand the big-picture view and interdependencies among other teams and work towards collective success

- Entrepreneurial attitude - Take ownership and accountability to see a project through from start to finish with little to no supervision

- Identification of new opportunities and business plans for practice strategy

- Qualitative content assessment as well as quantitative assessment; generate and/or oversee an audit and inventory of relevant client content assets

- Provide content revision/creation recommendations that help the business and its customers achieve their goals (based on brand documentation, competitive assessments, audience segmentation, SEO data, and analytics data) in the form of content strategy deliverables

- Create and/or review site structure and nomenclature for the most intuitive presentation of content, usually partnering with UX

- Conceptualize and create taxonomy and tagging strategies for specific business objectives, in partnership with business and technology

- Ensure content is structured properly for relevant backend systems including CMS, DAM, eCommerce and/or PIM

- Establish and/or maintain editorial standards and accuracy/quality of content, during content migration and / or fresh content creation

- Create and/or implement an editorial calendar to align site releases with product launches, seasonal promotions, and more

- Provide clear-cut guidelines for and oversee content migration in partnership with technology teams, and create or review associated documentation

- Contribute to definition and management of, as well as periodic updates to, content governance and workflow (including content creation, content entry, publication, and decommission) as well as localization strategies. This is in close partnership with technology teams

- Responsible for management of, as well as periodic updates to, personalization and content tagging strategies for the site

- Manage 1-2 junior content strategists

- Establish regular communication with other teams like UX, technology, business analysis as well as client teams

Experience Guidelines:

- 8-10 years - experience in digital content strategy

- Experience leading content or cross-functional teams

- 3-5 years- experience in a client facing role

- Good understanding of CMS/technology

Education:

Degree in Engineering, Science, Journalism, Technical Writing

Projects this role will support:

- Fortune-500 brands going in for replatforming - in a multitude of verticals like finance, retail, CPG, automotive and others

- B2B / B2C brands, both global and Indian

- Partner companies in the P.S ecosystem
