Job Title : Senior Manager - Business Development /Sr. Manager - Major Donor (HNI/UHNI)

Reporting : Director - Marketing & Resource Mobilization

Location : Delhi

Contract Duration : One year (Extendable)

Level Of Contact With Children : 2 (Sporadic or occasional contact with children)

The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India's Child Protection & Gender Equality Policies

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB :

To raise funds from high net worth individual donors for Plan India's child centered community development initiatives. The position is part of the Resource Mobilization team and shares the responsibility of achieving the business plan targets of the team

KEY FUNCTIONS / ACCOUNTABILIES :

- Achieve an annual target of 60 lakhs through contributions from high net worth individual donors

- Review existing products and create new products to tap contributions from major donors

- To develop the strategy and manage the major donor program at Plan India in order to create a portfolio of committed individuals who are willing to provide ongoing support

- To proactively identify, cultivate and secure high value, long term relationships with new potential partners and major donors within our key funding areas

- To manage and build excellent relationships with donors to ensure all opportunities are maximized

- To meet and exceed challenging team income targets from new donors prospects/ databases

- Ensure appropriate and timely donor servicing

- Post fulfillment (Receipt of financial commitments (gift acknowledgement, ensuring the implementation of donor recognition activities, to accompany donors on project visits and / or attend events)

- To prepare accurate reports on donor relationships for key stakeholders

- To undertake any other activities in line with responsibilities of the post

Experience :

- Post graduate in the relevant field with experience in Key Account Management in durable/ financial/ banking/ insurance industry and a demonstrable track record of skillfully securing and managing major donors/ individuals with high disposable income

- Financial and commercial acumen to identify, develop and deliver new partnerships and maximize existing ones

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience

Skills :

- Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally and work with HNIs / UHNIs

- Excellent communication skills including strong presentation skills, written communication, ability to produce emotive and effective proposals, reports, presentations

- Ability to apply good judgment and assess new opportunities

- Drive, enthusiasm and determination to deliver challenging team targets

- A flexible approach and willingness to work on different areas of fundraising

- Reporting to Director, must be self driven with ability to work well on own initiative

- Knowledge and understanding of regulations around gifting, donations and data protection

- Be very comfortable with cold calling and generating funds

Travel Requirements : 30-40%
