Manager/Senior Manager - Analytics - eCommerce

Manager / Senior Manager Analytics (Predictive Modelling, etc) for an Ecommerce MNC in Bangalore.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, have a passion for using data to drive business decisions, have the ability to partner with stakeholders at multiple levels to define and deliver solutions, and be comfortable with SQL query design and data mining techniques. Key responsibilities include

Understand the various business operations across the organization and delivering actionable insights based on data analysis

Partner with stakeholders at multiple levels to define and deliver solutions.

Design and develop highly available dashboards and metrics using Excel, R, SAS, etc.

Execute analytical projects and understanding of analytical methods (like Regression, forecasting and other statistical techniques)

Provide end-to-end project lifecycle execution (project planning, execution and risk assessment)

Drive a Zero Defect culture by managing controllable root-cause defects and ensure implementation of controls that minimize losses.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Bachelors Degree in any quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or related field.

At least 5 years of experience working in Analytics environment into Predictive Modelling, Regression Analysis, etc and working with a Global MNC.

Advanced working knowledge of Excel

Experience in working with databases and SQL in a business environment

Prior experience in design and execution of analytical projects

Requires a high level of judgment to make appropriate decisions for diverse and undefined issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a balanced mix of quantitative, consultative, and facilitative/leadership skills.

Demonstrated Leadership and Project Management experience

Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and work under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in e-commerce / on-line companies preferred.

Experience in working with databases and data mining techniques in a business environment

Understanding of data warehousing & modeling concepts

Demonstrated use of analytical packages such as SAS, R and Minitab.
