- This role will report to the assistant vice presidents and vice presidents within the

- Actuarial risk management and reinsurance reporting team to carry out their responsibilities as per their respective sub functions. The job holder will be primary responsible for reviewing the risk management reporting,risk management framework (such as IRM framework, Insurance Risk Strategy, IRG ToR, Catastrophe Reinsurance Arrangement, etc). This role will also be responsible for reviewing actuarial year end returns (suchas Annual Persistency Report, ALM Tables, Reinsurance returns, Quarterly public disclosures, etc) to be submitted to the authority. Further, the person will also be responsible for preparing IRG deck and reviewing the information shared to Risk Management Committee on quarterly basis. The person will also be responsible for providing the actual experience analysis such as persistency, mortality, surrenders, revivals, partial withdrawals, etc for setting the actuarial assumptions which is required for calculating the policyholder's reserves and PVIF. 


- In addition, the role holder will also be responsible for liaising with the reinsurers, industry players and other stakeholders (such as Finance, Operations, IT, persistency, etc) for improving the process or developing the structured process along with providing the necessary output to their seniors and other colleagues. 


- This role will also be responsible for ensuring compliance to various regulations and circulars as and when issued by the Authority. This role requires good knowledge of actuarial concepts.

- Job holder must operate within the framework of the risk appetite set by the Board and context of regulatory requirements laid down by the IRDA.

- Developing and modifying models required for various tasks relevant to the vertical in question.

- Representing actuarial department in discussions with other departments

The candidate should :

- Have completed at least 4-10 actuarial papers

- Possess strong understanding of general actuarial principles (understanding of financials preferred);

- Be proactive at work, with non-satiating tendency to learn and excel;

- Be comfortable in coding/building models and their documentation;

- Possess good verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills (preferable).
