JOB PURPOSE:

- Plan and conduct safety audits in the plant involving concerned CFT members to ensure implementation of safe working practices and policies.

- Take corrective and improvement actions post safety audit findings involving all stake holders.

-Ensure implementation of SHEMS, EMS, TPM systems in the plant.

- Coordinate legal compliances and procedures related to Safety with the relevant Government Officials and maintain cordial relations with them.

- Investigate accidents and incidents and propose corrective actions.

- The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Qualifications:

BE (Mechanical) / BE (Production) from renowned institute.

Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) from CLI / recognized institute (mandatory).

Industry Specification - Preferably from Automobile OEM

Addnl Requirements:

- Knowledge about the manufacturing of Automobile products and equipment's used for the same in the plant..

Preferred Vernacular Language: English/Hindi/Marathi

Age:

Min:29 Yrs

Max: 35 Yrs

Need for travel - Occasionally

KEY COMPETENCIES (Repository & Standard Libraries for Competency Framework - Drop down options access to Admin)

Technical:

- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines

- Monitoring of workplace activities to ensure that all employees (everybody) comply with company all Safety policies and Government safety regulations.

- Planning and execution of Safety Audit plans.

- Plan and implement safe working systems.

- Ensure implementation of safe working practices in the plant.

- Assist and coordinate for implementing ISO system- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law

- Assess Change Management request, Coordinate with Project department, ME etc department for safety practices

- Implement and ensure works permit system and process in the plant for all maintenance related activities in the plant by service providers.

- Implement and monitor legal / Factories Act provisions related to Safety.

- Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards.

- Plan and implement Emergency Preparedness plan.

- Implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety related systems (OHEMS), including HIRAC review, JSA and improvements.

- Plan and give safety related training to employees, including contractor employees, including safety awareness training inputs.

- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims and to determine causes and preventive measures.

- Review the progress of findings and corrective actions initiated from audit and incidences.

- Liaison with Government Officials for all Safety related legal compliances.

- Confer with medical professionals to assess health risks and to develop ways to manage health issues and concerns.

- Monitoring and measurement of all parameters and standards as per applicable acts and rules, such as legal Load testing, equipment testing, Workplace Safety, adherence to license conditions etc.

- Coordination for Vendor Safety Management, Audits plan.

- Carrying out safety promotional activities.

- Coordinate for TPM SHE pillar, Management driven initiative and reports generation.

6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based - Std Library):

- In-depth knowledge of Safety related systems and practices.

- Knows how to conduct Safety Audits and suggest corrective actions.

- Knows all legal requirements related to Safety to be implemented in Automobile / Engineering industry.

- Knows about the requirements of Occupational Health & Safety Management system.

- Added Experience in the construction industry safe working practices.

- Thorough knowledge about various Personal Protective Equipment's.

- Should have exposure to work in cross functional team activities.

- Possess good communication, negotiation & computer skills.

- Should have innovative approach for doing improvements related to safety.

- Should be achievement oriented and possess leadership qualities.

- Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 systems is essential...

- Added Experience in the construction industry safe working practices.

- Also Experience in Hazard identification in electrical system.
