Job Description Risk & Compliance Manager :
- The candidate needs to possess a logical mindset and be able to provide multiple solutions. Should possess capability to focus on outcome based testing and not just on compliance.
- A strong knowledge (in theory and application) of risk and control management framework and practice
- A working knowledge (in theory and application) of compliance management framework and key regulatory requirements relating to Australian Financial Services companies (e.g. Privacy, Responsible Lending);
- Ability to effectively engage and influence business stakeholders and other SMEs in driving continuous improvement in risk and compliance management;
- Written and verbal communication skills consistent with communicating with a range of internal and Westpac stakeholders up and including General Manager level;
- Relevant industry qualifications (risk, compliance or business-related).
- Knowledge to manage Client & Internal audits
- Implementation of Risk Governance Framework
- Conduct Process Deep-dives to identify Key Risks
- Provide Early Warnings for risk-related issues within the Business
- Suggest & Implement Controls
- Prepare and review - Root Cause Analysis- for critical breaches
- Conduct Effective Control testing and focus on Outcome Based Testing
- Call Monitoring / Side-by-sides to get a process understanding in order to review the same
- Ensure proper Review & Reporting mechanism is adhered to
