Manager - Research - Portfolio Investments

We have urgent opening for Research Manager for well know company in Bangalore and Mumbai.

Work time: Hybrid Module.- General Shift

Core Mission is to identify High Quality private and public companies that can generate compounded returns over a ten-year period and to apply the time tested principles of value investing. Quality is tightly linked to focus on best in class product and/or distribution, market leadership, longer term capital allocation, financial discipline, and adapting to change.

Core Skills :

- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in finance, economics, engineering, or liberal sciences

- Certifications like CFA would be an added advantage

- Prior background in public equity investing or investment banking or management consulting

- Strong understanding of financial statements and basic accounting, valuation concepts

- Motivation and passion for investing and taking on deep research in unfamiliar topics

- Beginner's mindset to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

- Deep curiosity to learn and understand new business models and technologies that drive disruptive changes in the market, with humility to discriminate facts from opinions

- Ability to present analysis, thesis, and conclusions with strong communications skills

Core Responsibilities :

- Due diligence of public and private companies and monitoring portfolio investments. Conduct research based on 10-Ks, Qs, earnings, management meetings, analyst meetings, public filings.

- Generate investment ideas based on stock and sector research that identify valuation catalysts and risk events

- Cover 30-40 companies and conduct deep bottom-up research and build models

- Participate in management meetings, industry conferences, analyst meetings

- Train and mentor new associates
