Manager - Regulatory Change & Testing - Compliance Testing

- Undertake independent testing engagements in accordance with the agreed Compliance Test Plan, assessing the effectiveness of key controls across various business units; ensuring adherence with regulatory requirements;

- Plan individual testing engagements and contribute to the development of the overall annual test plan;

- Summarize and communicate test results to the business leadership, ensuring their understanding of the materiality of issues and agreed actions which address the issues identified;

- Prepare a written report outlining the scope, findings and recommendations of the testing engagement, and distribute it to the appropriate levels of management;

- Where necessary, follow through on reviews and assessments to influence managers to enhance processes and controls to better ensure delivery of intended business and regulatory outcomes, including compliance with any specific regulatory requirements;

- Provide management information and reports on the progress of testing engagements;

- Ensure appropriate planning, testing and working papers are retained and filed; and

- Assist with special projects as required.

What you need to succeed:

- A minimum of 8-12 years' experience in operational/business controls testing or internal auditing, including regulatory compliance within the financial services/insurance sector;

- Firm working knowledge of audit procedures, planning, and test/sampling methods

- An ability to gather and analyze facts, in order to prepare and present concise findings

- A recognized professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA/CA, CIA etc.is preferred)

- Ability to translate legislation and regulations into business impacts, compliance elements and regulatory risks

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and securities laws applicable to financial institutions / Insurance preferred

- Experience in data analytics is preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

- Ability to operate in a deadline-focused environment
