Manager - Raw Material/Vendor Development - Chemical/Paint Business

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and establishing partnerships with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of raw materials essential for our paint manufacturing processes. The role requires a strong understanding of the chemicals/paints industry, a keen eye for quality, and excellent negotiation skills to ensure optimal sourcing of raw materials.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

1. Have a technical background to understand the various chemicals and raw materials and should be able to do commercial role partially

2. Identify new RM searches based on our requirements and market developments

3. should liaison between the suppliers and R&D for implementation of new RMs / ideas. All queries or issues should be handled between these teams

4. Monitor the trial batches of the new introduced RMS and once final approval received from R&D should hand over the commercial buying to the central purchasers

- Proven experience in vendor development, procurement, or supply chain management within the paints or related chemical industry.

- Strong understanding of raw materials used in production and their specifications.

- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess vendor capabilities, quality, and reliability.

- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards within the paints industry.

- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.

- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Willingness to travel for vendor visits
