Responsibilities:
- Quality Planning : Define quality system requirements - SOPs
- Monitor and review documentation as per defined SOP
- Coordinate for periodic quality audits at the plants
- Quality Execution : Monitor and review RM/ PM/ FG quality; Provide conditional acceptance to plant where required and coordinate with procurement team for resolution of issues
- New Product Commercialization : Coordinate for capex requirements
- Identify, shortlist and negotiate terms with vendors for equipment
- Coordinate for equipment connectivity to plants
- Monitor and review equipment installation and commissioning as per plan along with plant maintenance team
- New SKU Manufacturing : Coordinate with packaging to undertake change requirements for new SKU as per requirement
- Capacity Project Execution : Monitor and review project implementation as per defined project plan
- Monitor equipment placement, infrastructure readiness and installation
- Plant Performance Evaluation : Define format for data collection
- Review performance reports of each plant on various parameters
- Analyze findings and prepare summary reports and share with senior management as per requirement
- Statutory Compliance (Manufacturing) : Monitor and identify compliance related issues from MIS/ customer complaints
Experience:
For IIT/NIT Grads: Total of 6 to 8 years of experience with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in handling the following:
a) Product Quality
b) Process Quality
c) Managing the Quality function for at least 10 factories spread across a region.
For Food Technology Grads: Total of 10 to 14 years of experience with at least 4 to 6 years of experience in handling the following:
a) Product Quality
b) Process Quality
c) Managing the Quality function for at least 10 factories spread across a region.
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (product and process flow);
- Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques (7 QC tools, six sigma, SPC etc.);
- Knowledge of statutory compliances (PFA, weights and measures, factory act etc.)
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Engineering from any of the top 6 IITs, the following NITs – Suratkal, Warangal and Trichy or the top 10 engineering colleges
OR
Graduate in Food Technology/ Engineering from the any of the following: CFTRI – Mysore, UDCT – Mumbai, HBTI – Kanpur, Parbhani, Karnal
Shouldn't have scored less that 70% in 10th and 12th.
