Manager - Purchase - Chemicals

Organization: Top 20 Chemical MNC in India.

Location: Valia, Gujarat (Factory/Site Location)

Role & responsibilities:

- Capital purchase of goods (equipments) & services for all the projects and MOC

- Sourcing of new supplier etc.

- Sourcing of new Contractors etc.

- Timely delivery of all the goods ordered by expediting on regular basis

- Capable of handling procurement team

- Ensure to follow good procurement practices by following systems

- Capable to add value by performing win negotiations methods

- Able to influence stakeholders to handle the emergency purchase of items

- Shall have handled minimum 200 Cr Projects

- Shall have exposure to latest procurement methods like Reverse Auction, tendering etc.

- Ensure following systems in the department

- Knowledge of SAP/ERP is must

- Able to make systems which protects organisation interest while dealing with any long-term contract

- Shall have handled Contracts with the foreign supplier and technology supplier

- Shall be able to lead the commercial & legal aspects of contract finalisation

- Deal with all the internal (project team, finance team etc. and external stakeholders to get the work done

- Able to produce weekly and monthly MIS report

Preferred candidate profile:

- Candidates with B.Tech/B.E (Mechanical/Chemical) & MBA/PGDM degree required

- Must have minimum 11 years of experience in delivery of purchase of goods, services

- Candidate shall have handled capital projects procurements for minimum 250 Cr projects by leading the team of procurement Officers.

- Person should be dynamic and able to lead procurement of 800 to 1000 Cr projects in optimum time.

- Should have excellent negotiations skills to get the desirable goods with win situation for both parties.

- Shall have good exposure of Contract finalisation with the foreign and Indian supplier.

- The person must have good communication skills.

- Exposure of Agrochemical companies is must.
