Manager Public Policy will develop and execute government affairs advocacy objectives and political priorities for the company on state and central policy issues related to the EV sector. The individual will represent thecompany and will enhance and preserve key corporate relations with central and state elected officials and other policymakers.

Key Responsibilities : 

- In helping to set the public policy and advocacy agenda the manager will work collaboratively and transparently to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals.

- He/ she will assess and communicate potential government activities back to the business, develop mitigation or enhancement strategies and positions and help coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives in concert with business objectives.

- The incumbent will be responsible for effectively educating legislators, government officials and their staffs on issues related to Electrical Vehicles.

- The individual will work to facilitate high-level meetings between executives and key stakeholders to promote and advocate the company's public policy objectives.

- Ensuring alignment between the foundation's governance work and overall strategy

- Conceptualising research initiatives on key governance issues such as performance-linked public funding, assessments etc.

- Representing the organisation in key policy discussions and events at the state and central level

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities : 

- Degree or post graduate degree is desired

- With total 8+ years of experience in Policy Making, the candidate must have established relationships with ministries and other regulatory bodies as well as associations.

- Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data, craft possible solutions, and recommend actions

- Must have an understanding of regulatory requirements in the transport industry.

- Ability to interact with various levels of government officials and understand the overall regulatory environment unfolding.

- Understanding of Motor Vehicles Act and Permit regulation for auto-rickshaw segment will be added advantage.

- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
