Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and target potential clients and projects in the government, commercial, and residential sectors.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and government agencies.
- Project Sales: Promote and sell lighting products to clients for various projects, emphasizing the benefits and features of the company's products.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and competitors to develop effective sales strategies.
- Product Knowledge: Have in-depth knowledge of the company's lighting products and their applications in different types of projects.
- Specifications: Collaborate with architects and interior designers to ensure that the company's lighting products are specified in project designs.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and ensure that terms are favorable for both parties.
- Project Management: Oversee the sales process from lead generation to project completion, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sales and marketing teams to align strategies and meet sales targets.
- Government Sales: Understand the government procurement process and work on securing contracts for government projects.
Key Skills:
- Project Sales Experience: Proven track record in project-based sales, preferably in the lighting industry.
- Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of lighting products and their applications.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders.
- Market Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies accordingly.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with lighting design principles and technical specifications.
- Contract Negotiation: Skill in negotiating contracts and pricing.
- Government Sales Expertise: Knowledge of government procurement processes and experience in winning government contracts.
- B2B Sales: Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales and understanding of B2B sales strategies.
- Specifications: Ability to influence architects and interior designers to specify the company's lighting products in their projects.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee sales projects from start to finish.
- Industry Networking: A network within the architecture and interior design industry.
- Knowledge of Related Products: Familiarity with related products such as flooring, ceramics, furniture, and building materials can be advantageous when collaborating with architects and interior designers on holistic project designs.
