Manager / Project Management - Finance

Qualification : Any Post Graduate

Work Location : Kolkata

Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role) :

- Lead the effort to assure comprehensive review of all FCC model across the organization through seamless delivery of effective analytical solutions

- Collaborate with business partners to develop FCC model validation standards,Conceptualize and build analytical solutions using statistical techniques (if required) to provide insight into the changing dynamics of Compliance activities

Principal Accountabilities :

Key activities and decision making areas :

- Facilitate model validation and monitoring projects globally to harmonize and coordinate with regional activities in FCC domain.

- Functionally drive the validation methodologies and design the global validation framework

- Attention to time schedule and resource planning, participate to panel meetings and discussion with business experts, write good quality and comprehensive documentation.

- Maintains internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

- Build a good relationship with the business probing and understanding their needs and identify areas of improvement to enhance current information infrastructure.

Customers / Stakeholders :

Group and Regional stakeholders in RRA, FCC space covering :

- FCC Model Validations Team across Group and Regions

- IT, Independent Review, Model Performance Review Panel

Leadership & Teamwork :

- It may require to manage functionally a team of Analysts

- Promote collaboration with Group and Regional teams to achieve business objectives

- Engage with senior management, model owners and model sponsors as well as model reviewers and approvers

- Participate to global initiatives as well as cross-risk projects

Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder's abilities) :

The key risks/dependencies :

- Inadequate project control and data handling issues

- Weakness in the management and governance of projects

- Weakening of ability to converge to global consistency

- The objective is to develop consistent project management, governance and documentation practices which will drive consistency across the wholesale credit and traded risk analytics priorities.

Observance of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements) :

- Maintains internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications (For the role - not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.)

Qualifications :

- Masters in Economics / Statistics / relevant discipline OR

- MBA with focus in Finance OR

- MCA / B.Tech in Engineering

Skills and Experience :

- 7+ years of risk analytics experience in a banking domain

- Strong understanding of banking industry, knowledge of different banking portfolios and related risk management practices

- Relevant experience and knowledge of FCC analytics background preferred

- Strong understanding of macroeconomic variables/trends and its potential impact on both retail and wholesale portfolio performance

- Excellent communication skills with technical (the team) and non-technical (senior entity management around the globe) counterparts

- Proven ability to produce clear summaries and reports from complex factual information, including both written documentation and graphical material

- Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving and strong project management skills

- Ability to identify trends/issues and follow-up/escalate as appropriate

- Personal impact/ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at senior levels in the organization.

- Good communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills essential.
