Manager - Production - FMCG

Job purpose :

- To ensure that budgeted volume of production is achieved within the budgeted cost of the year.

- Maintain the quality of the product of high standards.

Key responsibilities :

Planning :

- To schedule the budgeted / planned volume of production in line with market requirements

- To plan for the input usages which may incurred for the production in line with budgeted costs.

- To plan the required amount of other resources for the production.

- Long/short term planning for labour and maximization of machine capacity

Production :

- To achieve the overall budgeted / planned volume of production for every month and the budgeted year.

- To meet the production plans - SKU wise / brand wise volume and ensure that all the executable permits are executed on time without any lapse

Cost of production :

- To meet material usage, manpower usage, inventory costs and overhead budgets.

- Eliminate / reduce product and packaging losses

- Achieve Utility consumption efficiencies in close coordination with all relevant stakeholders.

- Consistently improve manpower productivity to reduce cost of labour.

Quality :

- To ensure the operating quality protocols are adhered to at all times.

- Product freshness and shelf-life at market

- Eliminate / reduce market complaints

- The prescribed quality standards are maintain on the raw materials, packing materials, products, and the plant.

Management development :

- To provide training to Executives, JMC- s, workmen in various development programs

- Monthly review meeting with total production team.

- Constantly seek need for capability improvement of immediate and next level team; provide training / coaching to improve knowledge and skill levels.

- Suggestions implementation.

Efficiency parameters :

- Drive TPM and HDS Model in Packaging.

- Derive efficiency improvements through Kaizen.

- Capacity optimization

- Seek for best practices from within and outside group for implementation and improvements

- Reduction in wastages.

Others :

- To get feedback from traders/customers on the quality of our company brands and work for improvements.

- Drive Capacity and improvement related CapEx at Packaging from time to time

Budget responsibilities :

- Prepare periodic budgets including annual budgets on time.
