Manager - Product Management Position Objective: - Part of the product management team of a product line of the company. - To identify profitable opportunities that meet market needs, launch products in the market, oversee products already in the market and wind down products that no longer meet market needs Key Responsibilities: 1) Understands the Market: - Understand customer/ product complaints and work towards rectification through product improvements or new products - Identifies new product opportunities in the market - Tests / Trials own products and that of competition regularly 2) Develops Market Based Product Strategies: - Conducts extensive Research (mostly secondary) - Is aware of and understands the competition - Identifies product gaps vis- vis the competition 3) Bridges Every Department That Touches Product viz., Sales, Market Communication, Technical, Quality & Design, Customer Service & Operations 4) Full Responsibility: - Capture and Prioritizes Product Ideas & Improvements - Opportunity Assessment - Immerse in User Insights , Brand Development, Market Requirements / Customer Stories - Work on Business Case / Investment Justification - Design Product Requirements ; Capable to match product features to application needs - Build Subject Matter Expertise for the assigned product line - Launch Internal Training - Explore Market Strategy & External Customer Research - Prepare Marketing Plan, Sales Collaterals & External Marketing Communication 5) Shared Responsibility: Market Analysis (Competition, Trends, etc. ) through secondary research and drive clarity by collating information from relevant stakeholder 6) Contributes to: - Market Strategy - External Customer Research - Business Requirements - Managing projects - New product testing and launch Candidate Profile: Education: B. Tech Experience: - 3-6 years of total experience in Product management or related roles in tyre/OEM companies - Proven experience in owning and managing products across entire lifecycle - Excellent Communication / Interpersonal skills
