Product Development Manager (Pen)

The incumbent should be M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.Tech. in Paint Technology with 8 to 14 years of experience in Research and Development in Pen industry. Should have hands on experience of stationery products (Gel pens, Ball pens, Fountain pens, Free flow ink system. Must have Technical knowledge on writing ink and Tips and delivery system.

The incumbent will be responsible for :

- Create and manage the new product development pipeline in line with the 5-year category business plan

- Approve Products and Inks based on performance and product requirement.

- Lead the cross functional team on all new projects, till the first manufacturing run is undertaken and ensuring smooth handover to operations post FMS approval

- Identify & develop technology partners which could aid in the development of NPD process - independent testing labs, prototyping agencies etc.

- Ability to develop new sustainable products or revamping existing ones while keeping the costs intact

- In depth knowledge of material molding & different technologies available in that domain

- Updated on the regulatory requirement pertaining to different packaging materials

- Develop innovative packaging solutions w.r.t market operations which helps in showcasing the product at the counter while bringing cost efficiency

- Undertake cost reduction projects in the existing portfolio by tweaking product specifications which don't impact product performance or cause consumer dissonance
