Job purpose
Head of procurement and logistics functions at a brewery. Coordinate all procurement and logistics activities of the site, in conjunction with respective managers at HO
Key responsibilities
Procurement management:
- Stores management (Material and Engineering)
- Logistics
- CAPEX related
- Sale of scrap
- All necessary approvals are in place as per Procurement policy guidelines
- Physical disposal and documentation procedures
Joint function:
Part of the purchase committee meetings as required for areas related to procurement, Capex, and scrap sale part of the committee responsible for Physical stock taking as required/planned
Measures of success
- Procurement of RM/PM/Fuels/Containers etc in time
- Monitor stock levels of critical materials
- Purchase of all items at the optimum or lowest cost on
- To implement vendor rating process
- Price revision approval
- Proper planning & dispatch of FG to ensure all permits met
- Inventory control as per norms so as to keep WC in control and avoid material write-offs
- Timely procurement of CAPEX and engineering items
- Maintain a healthy relationship with the excise and other government authorities for acquiring approval at the proper time.
- Active participation in manufacturing excellence programs like TPM.
- Implementation experience of CONTRACTOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Qualifications
Engineering Graduate with additional Qualification in Materials Management(SAP), 8-9 years experience in Multinational Companies related to FMCG, Food, and other allied industries.
Experience
Experience of > 7 years as procurement/logistics head/officer in a Multinational Organization.
Job essentials
Liaisoning skills especially with Govt Excise, Negotiating skills, communication skills, decision-making skills, people-oriented, and drive to achieve results.
