Job Title: Manager - Private Banking - Islamic

Reporting to: Head - Islamic Banking

Reported by: All departmental staff

Main role (Overall accountability):

- Plans, organizes and implements tailor made Sharia compliant financial solutions for high net worth individuals in the region.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Assesses the requirements of high net worth individuals in the region directly and utilising the branch network / research as appropriate

- Plans and implements tailor made and personalised financial solutions, products and services for high net worth individuals consistent with the business objectives of the Bank.

- Ensure high standards of private wealth management customer service and relationship management.

- Primarily focus on developing institutional, ultra high net worth and very high net worth individuals into long-term clients.

- Contribute to building an active and broad book of clients and prospects through a strong and diversified network of business and client contacts.

- Perform investment sales and cross-selling activities for the client comprising of asset management (mutual funds, private equity, capital-protected notes, off-shore structures, structured products), investment banking (bonds, sukuks, convertibles, private equity, IPOs), treasury (FX, structured products) and branch (deposits) products.

- Regularly relations building initiatives on high net worth individuals in order to assess their needs, resolve issues and directly market the Bank's products and services. Decides on promotional campaigns targeted at such individuals.

Personnel Specifications

- Formal Post Graduate qualification and a professional qualification such as CA / CFA.

- 7+ years industry experience

- Thorough knowledge of the various private banking/ investment products and services that cater to the need of high net worth individuals and ability to provide advice

- Highly innovative and service oriented person

- Good communication skills

- Highly effective in nurturing and maintaining personal relationships at high levels and ability to command respect.
