Job Title: Manager Primary Transportation

Department: CLS

Organization: Client, Consumer - INDIA

Location: Mulund

Purpose of the position:

Primary Transportation & Central Distribution Center operations are a very critical aspect of the Client Supply Chain in our ability to execute planned product movements from Source locations to Customer serving Distribution Centers. These operations also constitute a significant portion of Distribution spend. The purpose of this position will be to manage this important element of the Client Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage domestic primary transportation network and CDC operations

2. Manage a spend of $14 million + within budget & deliver on CIP commitments

3. Own & lead Primary Transportation & CDC Network Strategy

4. Own vendor relationship with all Domestic Primary Transporters & CDC 3PL partners

5. Ensure Quality, Compliance and EHS&S requirements are adhered to

6. Drive process standardization and LEAN

7. Develop and implement transportation service policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures

8. Review collection of loss/damage claims/insurance settlements for all shipments

9. Risk prevention and mitigation

10. Broader Supply Chain responsibilities and leadership assumed to support network studies

11. KPIs will include Spend to budget, Truck placement efficiency, Lead time Adherence, Warehouse Productivity / Throughput

Reporting Relationships:

1. Reports to (Role): Director, CLS India

2. Matrix reporting if any:

3. Direct Reports: 1 (Executive Primary Transportation)

Qualification:

1. Education: PG with Specialization in Supply Chain Management (Graduation Between 2005 - 2007)

2. Experience: 7-9 years in Supply Chain, preferably managing a similar role in an FMCG company

3. Technical Skills:

4. Behavioral competencies: Strong Collaboration & Negotiation skills, Ability to connect with both Internal & External Stakeholders across Supply Chain to identify improvement opportunity, Lead Cross Functional projects, Excellence in Execution
