Profile : Plant Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all plant personnel.

2. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and develop corrective action plans.

3. Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Operations & Maintenance team to develop and maintain a comprehensive safety training program for plant employees.

4. Monitor and promote compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as environmental standards specific to biogas production.

5. Lead safety drills, emergency response exercises, and incident investigations, ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated into safety protocols.

6. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and safety-related data, and generate reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.

7. Provide guidance and support to plant personnel in identifying and resolving safety and maintenance-related issues.

8. Assist in the procurement and inventory management of safety equipment and supplies.

9. To check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries.

10. To carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.

11. To promote setting up of safety committees and act as adviser and catalyst to such committees.

12. To organise in association with the concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedures.

13. Proven experience as safety officer in the Operating biogas, Power, Refineries, Oil & Gas or Chemical Industries.

14. Strong knowledge of Hydrocarbon Safety, production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

15. Ability to lead a team effectively and make quick, informed decisions during emergencies.

16. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

17. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

18. Willingness to work in a shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends.

19. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to biogas production is a plus.
