Role: Manager - Organization Development (OD) & Capability - Agro Chemical Company

Location: Delhi NCR, HQ

MUST HAVE : 5+ years in Training and Development/OD role in Agro-chemical/ Chemical/ FMCG industry

Job Purpose :

The OD and Capability Lead will measure the talent development needs and drive the training and capability enhancement activities across the organization. The role will be responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members, particularly executives and emerging leaders.

Reporting to: HR Head

Description of Responsibility :

Talent Development :

- Plan, along with top management and HR Head, the annual training budget for the organization

- Conduct detailed training needs analyses and skill mapping to understand the requirements for enhancement of employee capability

- Partner with business heads to understand their training and development requirements

- Develop and finalize the annual training calendar for various functions and departments

- Analyze the training needs analyses outcomes, development conversations outcomes and function head inputs to finalize the contents and timing of various training interventions

- Evolve the contents of training programs in line with changes in the business needs and employee capabilities

- Identify appropriate external partners for design and delivery of specific training modules

- Ensure cost efficient procurement of training services - training facilities, training content and delivery

- Establish an effective training feedback mechanism aimed at continuous improvement of learning & development process

Organization Development :

- Plan and design suitable OD interventions for Co's in line with the evolving business strategy and skill requirements

- Revisit the organizational competency framework periodically to keep it in line with strategic needs

- Conduct talent assessments for identified talent groups using suitable tools and methodologies (such as assessment centers)

- Realign the organization's OD strategy in line with external OD trends

- Drive the process of leadership development and leadership capability enhancement at Co's

- Design and implement custom strategies for high-potential identification, training, and deployment

- Develop leadership lifecycle programs across levels which support the leadership development process and drive creation leadership talent for identified critical role

- Support the HR team in participation in external benchmarking studies and surveys to gauge the health of people practices in Co's

Monitoring and Control :

- Track adherence to defined talent development budget and create appropriate business cases for deviation from the same in case of specific requirements

- Responsible for Training and OD MIS report generation

- Ensure adherence to process timelines and SLAs and analyze data to identify areas of improvement and design interventions for the same

People Management :

- Review and monitor performance of subordinates on an ongoing basis and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs

- Recommend training as required for subordinate development

- Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need

Job Scope:

Internal Interactions :

(Within Co's)

- HR Head - to understand, explore and identify the expectations of various businesses and their impact on people (training and development) requirements. Create necessary buy-in for the training and OD related policies and practices

- Executives- to ensure update and upload of all notifications on the HRIS, for administrative and other support

- HRBP, IR/Admin Lead - Corporate and Plant level - to gather inputs for identifying location specific training requirements and to communicate training calendar and requirements

- Functional Heads - to gather inputs regarding their foreseen capability requirements

- PMS & Rewards/Transactions - to exchange pertinent information to improve the interlinkage of HR interventions

External Interactions :

(Outside Co's)

- HR fraternity - to be in touch with HR leads in other organizations and gain a sense of best practices, trends in training and development

- External vendors/training providers- to co-ordinate for external trainings

Geographical Scope :

- Pan India

Educational Qualification : Post Graduation in HR Management

Specific Certification (if required)

Total Experience :

- 10 years

Relevant Experience :

- 5+ years in Training and Development/OD role in Agro-chemical/ Chemical/ FMCG industry
