Manager - Operations Risk Review - Bank

Job Profile,

Position is with a bank in Middle East.

Lead a risk-based and client-focused Operations Risk Review program of work covering the Operations areas of the Bank. Participate in the cycled Operations Risk Review engagements and undertake Special Reviews and Consultancy services relating to Operations areas.

- Lead Operations Risk Review program in line with Group Audit and Risk Review Manual and International Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

- Maintain an up-to-date record of Operations Audit Universe listing discrete auditable entities.

- Develop Annual Operations Risk Review Plan in coordination with Head of Operations and IT Risk Review.

- Maintain Risk Assessment Profile for each of the auditable entities with Operations Audit Universe.

- Plan and execute individual Operations Risk Review engagements and leading a team of Operations Auditors and Guest Reviewers.

- Supervise Audit Team to ensure that audit work is performed efficiently and effectively by focusing on areas of perceived risk.

- In case of Operations Risk Review engagements carried out through co-sourcing model, coordinating the work with the external service providers.

- Review and prepare a clear and concise draft audit report.

- Conduct audit exit meetings with client management to discuss overall audit results, conclusion and audit ratings.

- Appraise the Team Members at the end of each audit as per criteria.

- Follow-up and Monitoring of audit recommendation implementation by the management.

- Participate in special assignments, consultancy services and investigations, whenever required.

- Prepare monthly Operations activity reports and submit to Head of Operations and Technology Risk Review.

- Engage and build a trusted relationship with the management.

Minimum 10 to 12 years experience in Banking Operations areas (Trade Finance, Treasury Back Office, Remittances, etc) in leading bank. Experience in audit preferable not mandatory.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution. Certification such as CPA, CIA and CISA will be an added advantage.
