Operations Manager - Life Insurance
Job Description:
- Designation Operations Manager - Pre Policy Issuance
- Function / Vertical Central Operation - Pre Policy issuance
- Reporting to Head - Operations
- Location: Mumbai (Powai)
- Educational Qualification: MBA from reputed business school (Minimum B-Cat MBA, Batch 2017 and junior)
Additional Qualification:
- Specialization Finance & or Operations
- Management Level Mid Management
- Industry Type BFSI / or Insurance Broking
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participates in the development and implementation of the Issuance & Underwriting plans, in line with the business objectives of Life & Health Insurance.
- Manages the implementation of the Insurance Operations Division, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Directs and manages the team on implementation of proper documentation of policy including Pre-Login Verification call, underwriting and ensuring checks on quality, risk & compliance controls.
- Efficiently co-ordinating with life & health insurance companies for issuance of business logged. Will have to build cases to present to insurer either the time of pre-underwriting or post login for faster issuance.
- Reconcile pending requirements for sales along with additional information and publish the same to sales along with timelines.
- Weekly & Monthly presentations to Sales, Ops & management on the performance of various internal control processes.
- Communicate on a daily basis with Managers from Sales multiple Insurance Companies in order to expedite issuance & underwriting process.
- Responsible for complete control of new business risk and compliance of regulations.
- Responsible for automating existing processes to improve efficiency of entire department.
Relevant Experience:
- Preferably worked in any operations department of Insurance Company (Candidate from Life Insurance Industry would be preferred)
- No of years of experience Minimum 3yrs
Technical Competencies:
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and WebEx - Proficiency in excel is an essential requirement.
- Compensation - Between Rs.14L to Rs.22L (85% fixed, 15% variable) - Compensation will be basis experience and background.
- Behavioral competencies - Willing to take initiative, exhibit creative thinking and take ownership of cases - Self-starter attitude and strong desire to provide excellent result
