Title: Operations Consultant (5-10 years)

PLEASE NOTE - CANDIDATES WITH PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN OPERATIONS CONSULTING IN INSURANCE/ BANKING/ OTHER FINANCIAL SERVICES SHOULD APPLY.

Summary of Responsibilities:

- The operations consultant will be part of a global Center of Excellence team headquartered in New York which works with individual country business leaders to drive operations improvement efforts. The operations consultant will be part of a team which would work closely with country business leaders to provide comprehensive analytical and strategic thinking to improve operations performance. These could include (but are not limited to) consulting support for centralization/ decentralization, insourcing/ outsourcing, operations organization structure design, Managing metrics for performance, reducing cost of operations, location strategy, BPR etc

- The candidate will be analytical, organized, process oriented, self-motivated and result driven. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a pre-requisite for this role.

- Candidate should be open and willing for short travel across the focus geographies namely Latin America/ Europe/Middle East and Asia.

- The company is a life insurance captive located in Noida

- The working hours are 12:00 to 21:00

- Compensation – Open depending on qualification of the applicant

Principal Responsibilities

- Driving operations and technology best practices with clients

- Conducting or participating in information gathering via interviews and workshops with clients

- Continuously learning new methodologies and best practices

- Requires moderately complex decision-making abilities

- Requires significant analysis to interpret data and information to provide support for the development of recommendations.

- Owns the outcome – presents findings to stakeholders.

- Exercises judgment to make decisions for less defined issues and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

- Ability to work independently, with little to no supervision.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Qualifications Required:

- 5-10 years of operations consulting experience along with Masters in Business Administration/ Masters qualification

- Quality certifications (Green Belt)/ Black Belt) are helpful though not a prerequisite

- Fluent written and spoken English, additional languages are of advantage

- Broad application of operations improvement tools and methodologies plus excellent knowledge of the insurance and financial services fields.,.

- Ability to manage, handle and prioritize multiple projects while strictly keeping to deadlines.

- Energetic attitude toward learning and developing knowledge in given subject area.

- Flexible, diligent, motivated, reliable and proactive personality with superior problem solving skills.

- Good communication and presentation skills along with influential and collaborative nature.

- Strong PC Application Skills (MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, Visio)

- Team oriented
