JOB TITLE: Manager (NPI - Foods)

REPORTS TO: NPI Lead

LOCATION: Gurgaon

JOB PURPOSE:

To support in implementation of Nutritional Category (NPI) development initiatives for the introduction of new products/ packaging as per Marketing vision board by working through cross-functional team. And also to support all Operations driven projects on Nutritional category (e.g. new site commissioning / up gradation of manufacturing / packing facilities) through the formation of cross functional teams & in co-ordination with other key functions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To lead / co-ordinate all activities for SC and ensure timely implementation of Nutritional NPI projects as per the vision board of company to achieve long term business objectives.

2. To provide inputs in the Product Development briefs on the technical feasibility, competition benchmarking options of manufacturing sites, available technologies, PTS, opportunities relevant for the introduction of new products / packaging introduction.

3. To assist activities for getting business go-ahead for implementing strategic business initiatives related to new site development, meeting cGMP & EHS guidelines.

4. To assist in identification & selection of new facilities / 3rd party manufacturing sites as per the business requirements.

5. To assist in identification & selection of new machinery/technologies for improving the existing operations / processes in terms of efficiency & quality & thus meeting the business requirements. Activities include gap analysis, organizing trials & validation, site gear-up, and documentation etc. leading to timely & successful gearing up of the facility.

6. To extend support to R&D/Other operation functions and help implement their cost reduction programs.

7. To assist in new initiative in technological advancement / up gradation required in the current Operations to improve the product Quality or process or efficiency of operations.

8. To keep regular contact with manufacturing / packing sites for providing them the update on the development plan for introduction of new products / packs related to their sphere of operations

9. To evolve and develop ideas to continuously improve ways of working to secure sustainable competitive advantage

10. To use appropriate PM tools during various stages of the project.

11. To assist Procurement in selection of equipment / machinery including finalization of prices.

Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required:

Experience:

- 9-10 years exposure in NPDs / operational background & ability to handle independent cross-functional department or functions.

- Must have 4-6 years of experience in new product or process development or project executions

Knowledge:

- A Technical graduate with 9-10 years exposure in foods and beverage Industry - Experience in Production / R&D is advantageous.

- Candidates with exposure to Extrusion & allied breakfast cereal technology like coating, bar etc would be preferred.

- Thorough awareness of Manufacturing advancements, Packaging advancements and other statutory regulations.

- Knowledge on Budgetary, inventory control, market analysis along with working - OE- Knowledge.
