Merchandising and Marketing Manager - with a top Start up firm Bangalore  Roles and Responsibilities:  - Understand the business of respective product category and understand the goals and challenges of the business  - Align category merchandising to the category business goals and targets  - Browse competition regularly and stay updated on latest trends for the product category  - Maintain consistency, hygiene and freshness of category storefronts and assortment  - Plan category promotional calendars in sync with central campaigns, coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure timely execution of campaigns  - Develop a performance dashboard for designers and monitor their performance objectively  - Engage in the analysis, formation, and implementation of the pricing strategy  - Build assortments by brand and by category that maximize revenue potential while effectively managing inventory investment.  - Liaise with Customer Service team to provide product training, where necessary.  - Contributes in development of range architecture based on consumer segment insights, regional requirements, marketplace knowledge, and competitive data (both online and offline retail)  - Setting stock promotions/price reductions as appropriate and promoting bestselling items in order to maximize profits  - Negotiating prices, quantities and delivery time-scales with manufacturers, stores and suppliers  Skills and Expertise:  - Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year college or university.  - 3-7 years minimum merchandising experiences, preferably with eCommerce exposure.  - Experience in multi-brand stores, department stores or within brands/wholesale is acceptable.  - Excellent communication, presentation, and planning skills  - Highly analytical, with ability to manage sales forecasts, gross margin, and inventory effectively.  - Adaptable to change and uncertainty with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.  Sree
