We have one very urgent position in one of Best Insurance organizations across the following location :

Base Location : Mumbai ( Thane )

Offered CTC : 7 Lac To 11 Lac P.a ; Depending Upon Current TC.

Position : Manager - Medical Underwriter .....mumbai ( Thane Headquarters )

Indicative Job Profile :

Responsibilities :

- Underwrite HNI cases allotted as per assigned underwriting authority

- Supervision of the Underwriting team

- Resolving queries

- Carry out analyses of key indicators in underwriting every quarter to propose necessary amendments

- Organization processes Key contributions

- Underwrite HNI cases allotted as per assigned underwriting authority.

- Underwrites new business/resolving at an average of 30 cases per day allocated as per the individual authority grid.

- Scrutinize all attached documents for completeness and check the supportings.

- Carry out risk assessment and approve the case if all in order or else raise pendings in view of incomplete/additional information.

- Arriving on decisions on non std cases and receiving sign off by immediate supervisor

- Coordinate with the reinsures and ensure accuracy of information provided to the reinsures during case referral.

- Facilitating the issuance of various big-ticket cases by offering creative solutions to resolve the pending and negotiating with the region & reinsure.

- Supervision of the Underwriting team.

- Review and sign off on cases referred to by the junior underwriter

- Do a quality check ensuring all documents, guidelines are being followed and prudent decisions made

- Supervision the individual teams on case distribution & completion of the same.

- Review the cases underwritten by junior underwriters on a monthly basis to minimize error rate.

- Monitor capacitisation & performance optimization of the staff month on month with the aim of increasing the productivity of the team.

- Recommend the team members for enhancing the roles and underwriting authorities basis the review

- Resolving queries

- Efficient delegation & resolution of various underwriting queries within one working day.

- Carry out analyses of key indicators in underwriting every quarter to propose necessary amendments.

- Carry out competition analysis.

- Review the existing underwriting guidelines for the scope of amending them.

- Identify key risk indicators affecting the business.

- Analyze the in force business by product type, age, sum assureds and morbid conditions.

Requirements :

Candidate should be working in underwriting in existing life Insurance companies only.

Position Name Experience Qualification CTC to offer :

- Manager Underwriting Minimum 5- 11 years Bachelor of Science/Pharmacy/Medicine/Life Science/Microbiology or Graduate with 10+ Years of Experience in Underwriting

Desired not mandatory :

- Qualified FLMI

- Fellow from III.

- MBA in Insurance Rs 6.25 to 10.75 L
