Marketing Manager -INDIA

Our client is one of the top global eyewear creator and leader in the premium sector for sunglasses, optical frames and sports eyewear.

Currently they seek to hire a Marketing Manager. The objective of the role is to promote India customers' business development by designing and implementing specific trade marketing plans which will have clear focus on portfolio priorities, Channel Commercial targets and local implementation of global strategies into the assigned sales channel.

Key Accountabilities:

- Develop strategies and tactics to spread the organisation's name and increase the foot fall.

- Researching the consumer markets, monitoring the latest market trends, and identifying all the potential areas a brand must invest in considering the spending habits and the needs of the customer.

- Defining marketing and trade marketing strategies, plans and budget by customer and by brand in line with product portfolio strategy, yearly commercial targets and customer needs.

- Proposing and implementing marketing activities within brand guidelines and strategies, always monitoring plan execution, related performances and evaluate effectiveness, including tracking budget usage for the assigned sales channels

- Supervising the production of media buyers and printers, copywriters, liaising with art designers, road shows, exhibition stands, email campaigns, TV adverts, websites, direct mail packs, and magazine and newspaper advertisements.

- Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis

- Overseeing the sign off of marketing campaigns and literature, ensuring that the messages and designs meet the regulatory guidelines set by the brand, and liaising with compliance and legal personnel.

- Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors

- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals

- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly

- Coordinating the launch program to not only employees but to external customers as well.

- Monitoring the consumer reactions and the distribution of the product via market research and focus groups.

- Cooperating with Channel commercial leaders to define business "building blocks" by customers, leveraging on promotional program, visual merchandising projects, coop advertising by brand;

- Understanding customer needs, promoting specific in-store and online initiatives, leveraging on and coordinating with regional and global competence centres (retail impact, digital team, trade marketing production team, SISS, etc.);

- Ensuring that marketing initiatives are compliant with licensed brands contractual obligations and the correct usage and implementation of organisation's and Licenses' assets, with specific focus on Own Core Brands as per Company Plan;

- Defining KPIs for marketing initiatives, tracking them pre-, during and post-implementation, to assess performances and ROI;

- Ensure the necessary excellence of In-Store Execution, controlling regularly the execution Customers and locations;

- Monitoring and analysing competitors' activities always sharing channel/customer best practices;

- Deliver internal & external training sessions with TM, Sales team & Customers.

Ideal candidate should be :

- MBA in marketing with at least 8-10 years' proven experience in Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing, Business Development in retail environment - digital marketing expertise is a plus;

- Preferred previous experience about 5 years' experience in eyewear, cosmetics, alcohol, fashion, FMCG sectors;

- Strong commercial and financial acumen, sell-out mindset and experience in sell-in & sell-out activities;

- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment, leveraging and building on differences;

- Outstanding communication skills, ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers based on trust;

- Dynamic, strong interpersonal skills, leadership as well as excellent business presentation skills;

- Project management skills and tools, along with capability to lead and contribute to multi-functional teams;

- Availability to travel;

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, .).
