Big4 Hiring - M&A Consulting - ESG Due Diligence - Manager


Function : Deal Advisory

Position : M&A Consulting - ESG Due Diligence

Location : Gurugram/Mumbai

The group serves leading Indian and international corporate, venture capital and private equity funds seeking to grow their businesses through organic means or M&A and investment.

Some of the group's key services include :

- Market Assessment and Feasibility Studies

- Market Entry Strategy

- Growth and Transformation Strategy

- Business Plan Development

- Due Diligence (Strategic / Commercial / Operational)

- Post-merger Integration and carve out assist

- Operating model design

Roles and responsibilities :

- Review/analyze corporate activities related to enhance their sustainability/ESG strategy, methods, framework, and related tools to evaluate clients' capability in achieving their sustainability/ ESG objectives.

- Manage the review and development of sustainability/ESG programs and related reporting, such as materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, metric/KPI identification (in alignment with common sustainability/ESG reporting standards such as GRI), and the preparation of reporting (internal and external) materials.

- Evaluate clients' ESG-Decarbonization digital transformation

- Manage engagement teams performing fieldwork, including project management, client management, review of analysis, work papers and reports and presentations.

- Manage client relationships, business development efforts, and drafting thought leadership, as well as internal collateral and pieces of training on sustainability and ESG topics; work closely, but independently, under the direction of team leadership.

- Overall management of projects, ensuring quality and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and manage budgets.

- Coach junior team members to develop new skills, monitor their performance, support their development and help manage their career growth.

- Present deliverables / Point of View at client workshops and lead client conversations.

- Experience in supporting a team in developing, growing, leading, and inspiring strong teams with a relationship building management style

Qualifications Required :

- Post-Graduate in MBA / CA (MBA (full time) from a premier business school (preferably IIMs / XLRI / FMS / SP Jain / JBIMS / ISB))

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field like engineering, energy, ESG, sustainability etc.

- Deep understanding to the global, regional and local ESG/Sustainability and Decarbonization standards for example but not limited to GRI, SASB, TCFD .. etc.

- EHS Management Systems

- Social Return on Investment (SROI) or equivalent

- Social & Environmental Impact Assessment

- Digital Transformation

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience (strategy / consulting)

- Prior work experience with a top consulting organization will be preferred
