Job Description :
Minimum : Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) possibly in a numerate discipline
Preferred : Accounting qualified, / Airline or IT industry experience

- Large and small deal experience Knowledge and Skills
- 10 years work experience in M&A transaction deals
- Track record in successfully winning acquisition and partnership deals
- Proven expertise in quantitative analysis
- Track record of closing investment opportunities and business proposals
- Proven experience in managing contracts with third party data providers
Job Purpose :
- The job holder is responsible for planning, developing and executing the EG-IT Acquisition and Partnership programme.
- Work with key stakeholders within all of EG-IT to identify either acquisition and/or partnership targets that support the business strategy and overall EK Group policies.
- Produce the business case and secure investment, drive the implementation plan and ensure business case synergies are met.
- Work with relevant teams engaging legal and financial contribution across all deals.
Job Accountabilities Linked To Objective Areas :
- Develop and implement the M&A and Partnership strategy based in EG-IT priorities for creating a portfolio of Partnerships and Acquisitions which deliver the maximum value across Emirates Group and Mercator external customer needs -
- Analyse M&A and Partnership Targets and evaluate based on a business, technical and commercial attributes and portfolio fit, produce initial business case with appropriate synergies and payback terms; Establish contact with identified industry companies as part of initial acquisition discussions-
- Prepare a schedule and roadmap of agreed Targeted acquisitions and partnerships taking into consideration EG-IT priorities and agreed M&A strategy; Ensure a planned and structured approach is followed for all M&A activity in full alignment with the agreed M&A strategy-
- With the target company, plan, prepare, contribute and lead all deal activities and the commercial discussions supporting the Manager, ESS and other relevant EK executives, ensuring EG-IT secures the most appropriate deal e.g. IPR rights, exclusivity, distribution, ESCROW, key employee tenure, etc-
- Prepare a full business plan including the long term and revenue and cost plan for the M&A deal working closely with Finance; Using the business plan ascertain the valuation of the target working closely with Corporate Business Development department-
- Manage all internal and external stakeholders (with confidentiality in place as appropriate) with respect to the M&A activity including Legal, Audit, HR and Finance as well as any other regulatory entities in case of publicly listed targets-
- Lead the commercial negotiations with support from appropriate EK Group entities to ensure an attractive proposition for EG-IT; Conclude the deal transaction leveraging the support of legal, finance, relevant EK executives -
- With the main business owner, following contractual agreement, lead the integration plan, ensuring handover within an agreed time frame to the business owner- Establish and manage full post-deal Governance Structure for each and every acquisition or partnership closed-
- Develop an overall short, medium and long-term management and integration strategy for each identified acquisition and partnership by which best value can be extract for EK Group
