Manager - Logistics - International Market

Thorough knowledge & experience in managing EXIM shipments - documentation, preferred logistics partners, different modes of shipping, cost by shipping mode and country, reverse shipment management, duty and customs handling, bonded warehousing

1. Global Trade Compliance - Works closely with internal teams, third party logistics providers, brokers, freight forwarders, and trade advisory consultants to ensure global trade compliance. Optimizes the logistics network to affect a controlled flow of goods in an efficient manner. Ascertains the correct application of duties and tariffs and country of origin. Analyzes the impact of security requirements and regulatory trade compliance on the movement of global goods and on business costs.

2. Contract management - develop contracts for the company with appropriate service providers at all stages of shipping - EXIM agents, shipping agents, bonded warehousing. Resolve conflicts through contract clauses. Monitor compliance of contracted carriers.

3. Transportation Sourcing & Management - recognizes factors affecting choice of transportation mode. Interacts with internal-external customer to understand shipping needs by product. Evaluates trade-offs between transportation costs, inventory costs, and service levels to design collaborative transportation solutions that are efficient and effective.

4. Data management capabilities. Provides transportation-oriented analytical support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals

5. Ability to stay on top of all shipments - track daily/hourly till goods reach destination on time.

6. Cost control & expenses reporting/management

7. Damage control - find solutions to reduce breakage in transit

8. Leadership - should be able to manage a team as the business grows
