Manager - Legal - LLB/CS - IT/ITeS

10-12 years- hands on experience in:Required- LLB and CS

- Working in IT & ITES organization in reviewing and rendering legal advice on Client Agreements from India law and compliance perspective;

- Managing and monitoring compliances covering entities, workplace, telecom, data privacy, information security, STPI/SEZ and other routine compliance issues and responding to notices from regulatory authorities;

- Proactive compliance and risk assessments to guide leadership to evaluate compliance and reporting requirements under local laws. Providing compliance plans, legal advice and guidance to business to mitigate such risks;

- Coordinating and rolling out global compliance programs covering anti-corruption laws, data privacy, anti-money laundering laws, compliances to ethical principles and export control laws.

- Creation of state/country specific compliance check list, keeping the checklist up to date and managing periodical review of the same;

- Support Disputes and Litigations team in coordinating with local stake-holders and local counsels on handling potential litigations, preparing responses to notices and managing litigations.

- Experience in drafting, vetting and negotiating IT procurement agreements;

- Collaborating with management, business and other departments (Controllership, Human Resources, Global Tax Team, Information Security Team, Global Asset Team, Logistics etc.) on compliance and other routine issues.

- Coordinate with multiple compliance stake holders internally.

- Interpretation and formulation of policies

- Render legal support and coordinate with other stake holders during client audits, statutory audits, regulatory inspections and audits and monitor and manage internal standards for external quality certifications and benchmarking exercises.

- Provide legal support such as due diligence, review of agreements and advisory support to global Mergers and Acquisition team and as well as interacting with onshore legal counsels, local business teams and external counsels;

- This position would require the candidate to provide legal support various Corporate Functions teams such as Finance, Controllership, Taxation, Forex, Recruitment, Real Estate, Global Asset Protection (GAP), Marketing and Communication (Marcom), Government Relations, etc.

- Developing and periodically reviewing and updating Compliance checklists, Standards and Procedures by keeping abreast with the legislative and regulatory changes. Willingness to learn and remain updated about the dynamic regulatory environment and business.

- Ability to function autonomously, yet communicate laterally and upwardly with ease. Work independently to ensure that contractual and compliance issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated and resolved.

- Ability to work effectively in situations involving lack of information, ambiguity and uncertainty. Composure to handle unexpected events calmly;

- Articulate to leadership and other non-legal stakeholders on legal and regulatory changes and advice and guide senior management in decision making. Collaborate and work closely towards meeting common business objectives and milestones;

- Monitor existing processes and ability to create processes as part of best practices to ensure compliance to Company policies and risk mitigation;

- Ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders which will also include frequent interaction with the Management;
