Be responsible for preparation and review of financial statements/ Management Reports for corporate entities. Managers in the LEC team at GFS play a key role in the overall management of designated legal entities. Their primary role is to support the / act as the financial controller to the Legal Entity (- LE- ) and this requires a solid understanding of the businesses operating in the LE. The team has end-to-end responsibility for the financial affairs of the various Legal Entities in the Group Structure, including monthly reviews and commentary, statutory reporting, capital requirements, and dividend calculations. The LEC team also is responsible for preparing the Financial Statements for their cluster of legal entities and ensuring high standard and correct disclosure and co-ordinating the external audit of the subsidiary accounts.

Key responsibilities will include:

Develop a strong business understanding over time and use it to provide context to accounting and financial matters.

Extensive IFRS based financial reporting - Preparing & Reviewing Financial statements and supporting them with well developed analytical reviews - both at Group and/or at Subsidiary levels.

Regular compliance activities which form part of ongoing monitoring and control - monthly financial review of entity balances, attestation of all LE owned balances, impairment reviews, preparation of financial reports for Board Meetings.

Preparing & reviewing Balance Sheet Commentaries/Legal entity monitoring files (as per timetable), Legal entity recaps & funding for transaction investments, cash settlements of inter-company balances & managing FX exposure and reviewing journals for hedging.

Review of the financial performance of the entity on a regular basis (especially during the year end process) and presenting to the senior leaders in finance and tax team.

Assist Group Tax in their preparation of Tax Returns / information supporting the tax returns.

Reviewing and improving processes, controls and systems that impact the financial information related to legal entities.

Identify and proactively resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors.

Undertake and deliver Projects, improvement initiatives and standardization approaches.

Responsibility & ownership over the work performed within the GFS team, ensuring adherence to timetable and work plan and maintaining high quality of the deliverable. This role is a combination of team management as well as individually managed and delivered responsibilities.

About you:

You are an experienced person in financial services and exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment. You have a Strong customer service ethic, proactively understanding client requirements and maintaining good relationship with the clients and an ability to work in a virtual global team, and manage cross-border relationships effectively.

We want to hear from you if you have:

Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA

7-9 years of relevant post qualification experience including 4+ years of people management experience

Willingness to travel overseas.

Willing to work in shifts.

A strong background of Financial Accounting and Reporting Services is essential.
