Role and Responsibilities:
To be responsible as a key member of the legal department of the company, handling high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, including labour laws, general corporate advisory, etc.
- Contracts: Responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing the contracts for the Company;
- Standardisation of Contracts & MIS: Standardisation of contracts with a focus on standardizing clauses across business relationships and benchmarking these for usage across verticals;
- Corporate Advisory & Legal Research: Advise on a range of compliance issues, regulations and industry standards with a focus on consumer protection and privacy;
- Litigations: Manage litigation and support on all legal proceedings from notice stage to pronouncement of the judgment; and
- Miscellaneous work: Conduct legal training sessions for business partners on various legal topics, such as law of contracts, including policies.
- Coordinate advice with cross-functional stakeholders, including marketing, sales, operations and finance team;
- Collaborate with legal team members to improve processes and ensure business demands are satisfied; and
- Keep current on relevant industry standards, laws and regulations
