Job Description: We are seeking a Legal and Compliance Manager to ensure the Company's adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and enhancing processes to facilitate compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Legal Compliance:

- Ensure timely review, dissemination, and implementation of new or revised laws and regulations.

- Review contracts from a legal standpoint within specified timelines, standardizing and improving contract clauses for efficient review and risk mitigation.

- Assist the Legal Head in establishing legal processes and systems.

- Vet internal group company agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and ensure proper execution.

- Review and vet various legal documents such as affidavits, letters, Powers of Attorney, and applications to government departments and regulatory bodies.

- Draft, review, and negotiate company agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and Letters of Intent (LOIs) as necessary.

- Review notices, agendas, and other documents for board, general, and committee meetings, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

- Stay updated on changes in company laws and communicate them effectively to the legal head and management.

Compliance Management:

- Plan, conduct, and support compliance audits.

- Monitor compliance across functions and identify company-wide compliance requirements.

- Provide advice and recommendations on compliance matters.

- Regularly review compliance controls, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Facilitate employee training on corporate ethics and compliance, ensuring participation in required training programs.

- Assist in consolidating reports for submission to the Global Compliance team as needed.

- Act as the Privacy Contact and support the implementation of the Data Protection and Privacy Act (DPDP Act).

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of legal and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding ethical standards are essential for this role.
