Manager - Learning & Development - IT (8-10 yrs)
Experience: 8-10 years of experience exclusively in L&D
Qualification: Any post graduation, graduation or diploma in HR/Training, certifications in L&D, instructional design, psychometrics are desirable
Job Description
The candidate will focus on supporting leadership development journeys, socialization of L&D initiative within and outside the firm, and other significant L&D related work.
Roles and Responsibilities
- This role requires the candidate to engage with various stake-holders - within the HR function and with business
- Create learning material and do instructional designing
- Independently identify, design and deliver some learning programs for the staff
- Liaison and communicate with learning partners and other teams
- Promote the L&D offerings within the firm and on social media
- Manage before, during and after stages of leadership development journeys
- Manage career progression of high-potential and high-performing senior employees
- Administer aspects of Development Centers
Essential Skills
- Candidate must have good exposure in designing learning interventions
- Ability to create professional presentations that give a strategic view of L&D to the leadership team
- Able to manage senior stake-holders
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Confidence to present before an audience - both in-person and virtual environments
- Strategic orientation and a team player
Desired Skills :
- Some exposure to facing clients in the L&D space is an added advantage although not essential since this is an internal role
- Assertiveness to deal with senior professionals
- Some exposure to budgets, training calendar, vendor management
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Some exposure to blended learning, e-learning and digital learning
Required Experience
- 8-10 years of exclusive experience in learning, development, training
- Mandatory skill sets - designing impactful PowerPoint presentations
- Experience in L&D with a large MNC consulting firm would be an added advantage
