Role: Learning and Development

Designation: Manager

Location: Trivandrum, Kerala

Work mode: work from office

Experience and skills:

A Master's Degree in Human Resources / Behavioral sciences with 8-12 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 5 years have been spent in a supervisory role within a training department. Proven experience of successfully anchoring and administering large scale training & development initiatives, implementing assessment centers, training tools and techniques, competency-based development initiatives and hands on experience of conducting soft skills, communication and management development training within a multinational company. Strong content, process and leadership skills to achieve the objectives set for the department. Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.

Learning & Development:

- Design relevant leadership frameworks/tools and project plans

- Design and deliver programs/interventions under the Leadership Academy to enhance leadership skills at various organizational levels

- Spearheaded org-wide initiative aimed to create Internal Leadership Pool including Selection,

Development & Deployment of High Potential Employees:

- Develop and facilitate learning paths for managers/team leads/individual contributors

- Training content development

- Evaluate the impact of training, efficacy of learning interventions and methodologies used on an ongoing basis

- Develop case studies on the impact of rolled- out interventions

- Bring in the contemporary methodology mix in learning and create a learning culture

- Support Assessment / Development Centers

- Support the design of competency framework

- Assimilate market practices in leadership development and share insights with the HR leadership team on a regular basis

People Management:

- Build and empower a world-class training team

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the team so that they consistently meet and exceed SLAs

- Ensure effective tools and mechanisms are provided to the team to track and develop individual potential to meet business objectives

- Ensure effective succession planning

- Ensure timely preparation and review of goals and development plans for direct reports. Ensure accurate handling and completion of progress reviews on performance and development plans within agreed timescales and provide ongoing feedback to the team

- Approve resource planning, training and other development plans for the team

- Mentor and guide direct reports and work closely with all Managers and intervene appropriately to create a competent and close-knit team

- Create a high performance, fair and exciting work environment that provides motivation and development opportunities for the teams

Client / Customer:

- Build and maintain effective relations with internal clients. Interact with clients on an ongoing basis to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and effective long term relations

- Identify and resolve problem situations proactively and escalate only when unavoidable

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance metrics and SLAs

- Solicit, comprehend and follow through on feedback received from clients

- Initiate and maintain a robust VOC mechanism

Financial / Commercial:

- Complete responsibility of the following:

- Training cost per employee

- Re-training an employee

- Utilization of training resources

- Drive cost control measures across division

- Team Utilization and efficiency

General affairs:

- Adherence to the department budget

- Report on progress and performance reports, useable on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis

- Responsible for the division's adherence to security norms including print security and physical access procedures

- Ensure all employees in the division are trained per the organization's per policy norms

- Responsible for legal, security and group's compliance policies and procedures on the operations floor
