Job Title Manager/Lead Manager- Model Standards

Job Purpose (overall high-level summary of the role)

This role is responsible for supporting the Head of Model Standards for Intelligence and Analytics (FCTM) in the following capacities:

- Help ensure that the FCTM Intelligence and Analytics (I&A) Book of Work (e.g. full list of projects in planning and in progress) is documented, tracked, and reported on an ongoing basis;

- Participate in the planning and tracking of resourcing for projects in the I&A Book of Work;

- Providing project management support for I&A projects (e.g. large model development projects);

- Assist with the creation of model governance documentation and high-level communications documents for key stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities: key activities and decision-making areas Typical Targets and Measures

Impact on the Business/Function

- Generate clear model governance and project-related documentation for internal stakeholders.

- Help ensure that project information recorded in the I&A project pipeline is kept up-to-date and accurate

- Create and maintain JIRA, QlikSense and/or Excel spreadsheet tools to record and track information related to the I&A Book of Work, including resource management.

- Lead communication to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure the effective sharing of information and best practices across FCTM Intelligence and Analytics.

- Support model documentation development for Financial Crime Risk models.

- Ensure effective governance and reporting to senior management is in adhered to and is carried out in a timely manor

- Contribution to interim and year-end performance management

- Escalation of key issues on a timely basis

- Timely identification of change that impacts the effectiveness of risk

- Improve engagement with stakeholders and develop best practice and knowledge sharing

Customers / Stakeholders

- Develop close and effective working relationships with Global Business, Regional & Functions to ensure impacted parties are well informed from a Group / Regional perspective on region and best practice sharing

- Build trust and credibility with stakeholders in order to objectively engage them and where appropriate challenge their views

- Demonstrate analytical thinking, sound judgment, critical analysis, attention to detail and provide value-added advice

- Effective engagement with Regional and Global leads in FCTM

- Establish and delivery of KPIs

- Positive stakeholder feedback

Leadership & Teamwork

- Promote collaboration with Group and Regional teams to achieve business objectives

- Support achievement of the vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making

- Working as per FCTM TOM and Operational requirements, internal control and FIM.

- Maintain, develop and share

Knowledge

- Ensure all intranet / SharePoint content is up to date for projects

- Take part in delivering training.

Management of Risk

The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structure referred to as the - Three Lines of Defence- . The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defence, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required.

The jobholder has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring that Operational risks are managed in accordance with the Group Standards Manual, Risk FIM, & relevant guidelines & standards. The jobholder should comply with the detailed expectations and responsibilities for their core role in operational risk management through ensuring all actions take account of operational risks, and through using the Operational Risk Management Framework appropriately to manage those risks.

This will be achieved by:

- Continuously reassessing risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

- Ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring, addressing areas of concern in conjunction with Risk and relevant line colleagues, and also by ensuring that actions resulting from points raised by internal or external audits, and external regulators, are correctly implemented in a timely fashion.

Observation of Internal Controls

The jobholder will adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures.

The term - compliance- embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.

Local Job Requirements

- Be able to learn new skills and build knowledge quickly

- Translating complex ideas into easily understandable solutions and documentation

- Working independently and with remote teams

- Supporting the development of controls and processes whilst supporting in-flight activity.

- The role will be picking up multiple streams of runway and in-flight work. This will mean complex people and stakeholder management to address risks associated with transition

- The role holder will be required to manage multiple tasks and projects/assignments

- The role holder is expected to provide robust and timely escalations of risks and issues and inform managers of decisions.

- The role holder will need to be a motivated self-starter, who will be given the freedom and autonomy to develop processes and bring fresh ideas.

- 6+ years of experience in relevant domain.

Certifications, Qualifications & Experience

- Project management office or model governance-related experience that could include but is not limited to scheduling, planning, generation and maintenance of programme related documentation, management of governance forums, scorecard or KPI status management, and stakeholder communication.

- Experience of managing resources to achieve functional objectives using appropriate communication, delegation and planning skills

- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills

- Excellent level of planning and organizing skills to ensure work is focused on key priorities, managing conflicting requirements and rescheduling where necessary to meet deadlines.

- Exceptional powerpoint, excel, share point and project documentation experience

- Strong judgment, decision making and problem-solving abilities

- Strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) and ability to convey information in a way that is clear, succinct, and easily understood by non-analysts and senior executives

- Strong knowledge on modeling standards and techniques will be preferred.
