Background:

Our Client is in a state of growth across Asia and is implementing new systems in order to automate a variety of processes as the firm grows its headcount and geographical spread. Our Client is seeking an Infrastructure Manager to assist in the planning, implementation and management of en world core infrastructure.

Historically, Our Client has utilized the Google Apps for office automation, Internet VPN technology for the corporate network, Cisco IP phones and Polycom room-to-room video conferencing. As the company grows across Asia, the company is migrating to Office 365 for office automation, Microsoft Lync for IP phones, desktop video, chat and IM, and an MPLS-based corporate network. Regional office infrastructure includes file server, domain controller, local backup services with replication to offsite storage for business continuity.

Role:

The Infrastructure Manager role will assume responsibility for the on-going design, implementation and management of the en world infrastructure roadmap. Working with both vendors and in-house staff, this role has responsibility for the corporate network, local office server infrastructure, office automation, voice and video services. There is a dotted line responsibility to the Help Desk particularly in the areas where Help Desk overlap into infrastructure related issues.

The candidates reporting line is to the I.T. Director; the position is based in Tokyo, Japan or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Skills:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate deep knowledge of Windows 2012 R2 server architecture and tools, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V virtualization (VM-Ware is acceptable), domain trust relationships, AD replication processes, MPLS network architecture, configuration of Cisco switches (L2 & L3), configuration of firewall devices from vendors such as Cisco and/or Fortinet, ADFS, IPSec/SSL, back-up tools such as CA Arcserve/Altaro Hyper-V, backup strategies for business continuity.

Attributes:

The successful candidate should have 10-12 years of infrastructure experience including team lead or manager of a small number of staff. Candidate should be self-starting with leadership abilities; able to communicate upwards to senior staff as well as laterally to peers. Candidate should be able to provide reason and logic in all technical discussions and lead by example and fairness.
