Manager - IT (Business Intelligence)

Job Description :

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee business intelligence projects, primarily in SAP BIW (on HANA) & Qlikview technology platforms. The key expectation from you is to be the architecture authority & for the BI systems to ensure data is always accurate, available and is easily retrievable.

Your Role Specifications :

- Lead execution of multiple BI projects that are underway

- Ensure timely execution of issue resolutions and manage change requests performed by SAP BIW & Qlikview support teams

- Proactively identify ways to improve BI solutions

- Support proof of concepts and pilots of multiple BI solutions that will be evaluated time to time.

- Coordinate among business, IT Center of Excellence and AMS support team on day-to-day basis for issue resolution

Skills Required :

Mandatory :

- SAP BIW application development

- Extensive experience & knowledge in technologies around databases, data warehouse and data modelling (mandatory)

- Ability to critically evaluate technical architecture, data integration and system performance, and bring in best practices

- Good communication skills

- Must have a good aptitude to understand business context behind technology initiatives & deliver complex projects with little hand-holding

- Must be keen to have a career in enterprise technology, not limiting to one domain or technology

- Process orientation towards IT service delivery

- Ability to work effectively with external consultants and cross-geography teams

- Ability to learn a new technology or application quickly

Desirable :

- Development experience in Qlikview ( will be highly valued)

- Exposure to statistical/ predictive modelling technologies (will be highly valued)

- Knowledge of manufacturing industry and one or more SAP ECC modules

- Exposure to other emerging BI technologies

Experience :

- 6 - 10 years of experience in BI technology domain with minimum 4+ years of development experience in SAP BIW

- Experience in a data visualization BI technology like Qlikview, tableau, Business objects etc. would be valuable, though not mandatory
