Manager - Investment

Manager - Investment reporting to Assistant General Manager- Finance. He is an invitee of meetings of EC and if required to Board during the discussion on investments.

- His principal duty will be analyzing existing investments, fresh investment proposals, Divestment planning etc in line with CMA Regulations.

His job description, role and responsibilities are as under:

- Review and recommend Investment Asset Allocation for optional investment performance based on Company’s objectives and CMA directives.

- Within every asset class, devise strategy to manage those investment including Fixed Deposits, Equities, Bonds, Real Estate.

- Review of investments, putting up proposals for holding or divestment of investments

- Reviewing the performance of liquid portfolios and suggestion for corrective actions

- Preparing investment proposals and put up to the AGM/ GM and EC for approval

- Liaison with outside portfolio managers and brokers for efficient service for our portfolio management

- Setting up and achievement of annual targets for fresh investments and divestments

- Supervision and monitoring the functioning of Portfolio Manager

- Updating with market developments, new investment products and all other areas that can affect the markets, eg. movements in the economy

- Interprets and summarises data describing current and long term trends in investment risks and economic influences pertinent to investment.

- Recommends investment timing and buy-and-sell orders to the Management/Executive Committee.

- Monitors and ensures that all investment portfolios are in compliance with CMA regulations and other relevant authority.

- Work with the Finance Team to ensure the efficient transfer of funds and assets to and from existing, new and terminated fund managers.

- Develop an awareness of current issues in portfolio management, domestic and financial markets.

- Ensure compliance by the Directors and Management of the company with all the requirements of regulatory bodies, including Code of Corporate Governance

- Preparation of investment returns periodically

- Carrying out the work assigned by the Management diligently and efficiently.
