Reports to : Senior Director, Govt. Affairs and Public Policy

Location : New Delhi

Job Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, experience and qualifications :

- Maintain an up to-date roster of various policies and regulations in the Internet and Mobile domain including recent amendments as well as initiatives contemplated.

- Analyze implications for Internet council members, and help disseminate knowledge to members. Keep track of policy initiatives contemplated or in process within various Ministries as well as their implementation in the field.

- Prepare issues papers from industry perspective which can be presented to the Industry and government, both formally and informally. Maintain awareness of operations and major Internet companies activities and strategies.

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with Internet Council Members and members in that vertical at a functional / domain expert level for inputs and discussions on Industry issues.

- Confer with stakeholders and legislators if required to help identify weaknesses or merits of specific regulations.

- Organised constructive dialogue among relevant parties.

- Prepare /Review minutes of key meetings and consultations of the Internet Council and associated working groups. Maintain contact with member companies to share information or strategy.

- Build and maintain relationships with key interest groups, Perform other duties as advised by Management

- Ability to engage constructively with Industry is a critical attribute for this position.

- The role requires ability to distill disparate inputs, synthesize arguments and formulate recommendations for industry and other public resources that find immediate traction in policy.

- Awareness and understanding of issues related to internet enabled business models and start-ups is desirable.
