POSITION SUMMARY:

- This position sits in Internal Comm and will be based in our India office, a multifaceted team of communications and branding strategists with a 360 degree approach. Our job is to create synergy and alignment (think corporate branding, global associate campaigns, large- scale rollouts, and creating comm strategies for our partners) within our functions, regions and brands for the newly develop Africa Hub.

- You will be reporting to the Sr. Manager - Internal Communication who is based in Hong Kong and help to inform, inspire and engage associates through thoughtful and strategic communications. Help evolve the tone of the Company's communications to associates and provide advice, direction, and execution for all-associate and targeted internal messaging campaigns across our platforms.

- The communications range from organizational memos, developing and executing editorial series, to advising internal functions, and executive messaging. You- ll pitch ideas and create various forms of content for our platforms, including intranet, social media accounts, video, associate newsletters, digital signage and a YouTube channel.

- You should be very comfortable taking direction from and giving strategic counsel to senior level colleagues and can both advocate for ideas and, when necessary, suspend their agenda. You are a relationship-builder, stakeholder manager and most of all, an enthusiastic member of the team who will help evolve the Internal Comm team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE JOB: -

- Idea generation, storytelling, and writing are all required skills

- Support internal clients across the company regarding their communications needs and help align their strategies against company priorities.

- Executive messaging

- Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communications and the ability to influence behavioral change. Report back to business leaders

- Finds ways to enhance existing processes for greater efficiency and evolving existing comm vehicles for greater impact - Work closely with brand and key functional partners on initiatives and where applicable, make sure internal and external messages are aligned

- Help manage internal and external channels (e.g., newsletter, intranet, blogs, YouTube, etc.) Drafting, editing and execution of communications for an internal audience on a range of topics, incl Corp initiatives, Company events and projects

- Develop and maintain awareness of editorial calendars and the needs of business departments across the globe to maintain communications synchronicity

- Multitask in a fast-paced environment and can easily change direction when urgent communication needs arise

- Proactive, practical and strategic counsel and support to business leaders on the internal communications for Africa hub

- Close collaboration with members of the regional leaders, Corporate Communications team in US

- Events management, including the organization and support of global town halls, vendor summit, audio conferences and web casts etc.

- Support with the production of internal videos and other multimedia materials

- Media monitoring and distribution of news clips to a targeted internal audience

- Work in partnership with company's Comm team and brand Comm team

Internal: Executive Leadership, Brand PR/Marketing teams, Key functional teams (Corporate functions, Corporate Responsibility, Corporate Branding, IT)

External: Agencies, consultants, production house

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: none

DECISION MAKING:

- Ability to prioritize projects and investment of time to best support company's business needs and growth opportunities.

- Must be able to discern questions or concerns that should be escalated vs. matters that can be solved independently

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:

- A strong communicator who can write in a variety of tones and formats depending on the intentions behind the message.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines.

- Detail-oriented/innovative traits necessary.

- Must be flexible and adapt to changing trends of business and/or ad hoc projects.

- Highly organized who pays close attention to details

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- 3 - 7 years of experience within communications

- Good written and verbal communication skills for internal audience with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.

- The ability to translate business needs into compelling messages

- Must possess strong time management skills with an ability to focus and manage

- Strong relationship building skills and able to collaborate at all job levels

- Must be a proactive, multi-tasking self-starter
