Institutional Equity Sales
About our Client : Our client is a financial services company. They have a significant presence in Indian Equity Markets and now want to add a seasoned Equity Sales person to the team.
Job Description : With a specific focus on selling Indian Equities to institutional client base in India, the role will entail reporting to the Head of Institutional Business and involves:
- Developing new and existing institutional client relationships with a goal of continuously broadening distribution across Institutions
- Delivering a first rate sales service to include co-ordination of investment ideas, research and industry conferences and coordinate efficiently with the Research and Sales and Trading teams
- Generating investment ideas and working closely with Research to improve product offerings
- Develop close relationships with CIO / important fund managers across various clients
- Secure client votes for sales ratings
Desired Experience/Qualities :
- Must have been an institutional sales representative, selling investment research to portfolio managers and analysts (on the buy-side)
- Must have a demonstrated history of building sales, rather than inheriting and maintaining sales
- Must have current relationships at several mid- and large-tier asset management firms
- Must be willing to be - hands-on- with direct phone calls and emails and have had success in prior positions
- Demonstrated proven credentials and academic background
- High usage of interpersonal skills
